FAQs

The Wonder Years Academy
  • What makes The Wonder Years Academy different from other child care centers?

At The Wonder Years Academy, we prioritize creating an environment where every child feels safe, loved, and recognized. As a family-owned and veteran-owned school serving local families since 1999, we differ from larger corporate facilities by offering a close-knit community where families become part of our extended family. Our small-group learning model enables teachers to develop meaningful connections with each child, deliver personalized attention, and establish a warm, supportive atmosphere. This approach helps children build confidence, cultivate a genuine interest in learning, and ensures families feel welcomed and valued.
  • How will I know what my child is doing each day?

We utilize the ProCare family app to maintain daily communication with parents. Through this platform, you will receive timely updates regarding meals, naps, diapering, activities, photographs, developmental progress, and classroom happenings. The app also provides direct messaging capabilities with your child's teacher, fostering a collaborative relationship between your family and our school.
  • How do you keep children safe throughout the day?

Ensuring your child's safety remains our foremost concern. We implement secure entry protocols, maintain constant supervision of all children, conduct routine safety drills, and adhere to rigorous health and sanitation standards. Additionally, families receive secure access to our WatchMeGrow camera system, enabling you to observe your child during the day for extra reassurance.
  • What curriculum do you use?

We implement The Creative Curriculum, a research-based and widely respected early childhood education framework. Our instruction emphasizes hands-on, play-based learning experiences that develop language, literacy, mathematics, science, social-emotional competencies, and kindergarten readiness. For infants and toddlers, we incorporate the New Jersey Birth to Three Early Learning Standards to promote healthy development during these formative years.
  • How do I enroll my child?

We have streamlined the enrollment process for your convenience. Begin by completing our online enrollment form, after which we will contact you to verify availability. Upon securing a space, you will submit a $100 registration fee along with a tuition deposit equivalent to one-half month's tuition. Prior to your child's first day, we will arrange a family orientation session to review our policies, entry procedures, and address any outstanding questions, facilitating a seamless transition for your family.
